The Windsor Bridge
Testament to our build quality this bridge has survived 4 major flood events in recent years and still in tip top shape.
Kirawee Pedestrian Bridge
A Transport NSW initiative that has:
-
increased pedestrian safety
-
safer access for school children, prams and low mobility pedestrians
-
improves pedestrian and cyclist connectivity with local facilities, services, schools and public transport
-
provides an important link between residents and businesses on either side of the highway
Karrara Bridge, Fowlers Rd Dapto
Karrara Bridge at Fowlers Road opened to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists on 28 April 2020. It provides new flood-reliable access between Dapto and West Dapto and eases congestion through Dapto Town Centre by reducing traffic on Bong Bong Road.
Karrara is the traditional Aboriginal name for Upper Mullet Creek. It was suggested by the community when we asked for bridge name ideas.
Fontana Drive Bridge, Gables
The Fontana Drive Bridge joins two communities and essential services, it will allow a seamless journey from Fontana Drive through to Santa Sophia and the future town centre
Norwest Private Hospital
Norwest Private Hospital is a new private hospital developed on a green field site. It is a 171-bed acute hospital and day surgery with ten operating theatres, recovery areas and a range of specialist patient care facilities. It includes an accident and emergency department; an intensive care unit; a cardiac and coronary care unit and a maternity ward with associated birthing suites.
Western Sydney University Science Block
Western Sydney University has launched its new $30 million Science Building on its Parramatta South campus, significantly expanding the University’s capacity to produce the highest quality science, psychology, social work and art therapy graduates and researchers for the Western Sydney region.
Opened by NSW Minister for Education, The Hon. Rob Stokes MP, the three-storey building is a much-anticipated infrastructure project for the University.
With a total floor area of over 4,600 square metres and capacity for over 400 students and staff, the new building brings together the University's School of Science and Health, the School of Social Sciences and Psychology, and the Advanced Materials Characterisation Facility (AMCF) in one central location, fostering greater teaching and research collaborations.
Glenfield Train Station
This new station aims to facilitate the interchange between the rail lines and provides various improvements, including:

an upgraded rail/bus interchange;

grade-separated northern and southern flyovers;
-
upgraded platforms and platform canopies;
-
a multi-story commuter car park;
-
covered bus stops and taxi stands;
-
a covered walkway; and
-
an expanded rail corridor.

The project’s success is reflected in its awards: in addition to receiving the 2013 Engineering Excellence Award (Sydney Division) from Engineers Australia and the Ken Erickson Innovation Award from the Permanent Way Institution NSW, the project was a finalist in the WorkCover NSW SafeWork Awards and the Bentley Be Inspired Awards – Innovation in Rail and Technology.
Mowbray Public School - Lane Cove
To deliver optimum learning outcomes for students and address current and future enrolment demand, this project saw the school almost triple in capacity with the development of new classrooms, a new administration building and a canteen.
The facilities incorporate principles of energy efficiency and ecologically sustainable development including passive ventilation, thermal performance and comfort, natural lighting and water recycling management.
Concord West Train Station
As part of the State Government North Strathfield Rail Underpass (NSRU) project, there were considerable upgrades conducted at Concord West Train station.
Some of the outcomes include:
The construction of a new elevated concourse, 4 new lifts, and new platform construction.
Abell Road Bridge - Melonba
A Stocklands new community called Elara has commissioned this bridge in order to give the new community connectivity to services and amenities. The bridge build was carefully built to leave the pristine creek and habitat unharmed and protected.
Heathcote Pedestrian Bridge
A NSW State Government initiative, this bridge has given the community safe access to Heathcote Railway station. Officially opened by the Transport & Freight Minister The Hon Duncan Gay MLC and Local Member Lee Evans MP.
